Black Women in Motorsports Part 1: Cheryl Linn Glass

The first Black woman sprint car driver

Courtesy Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed, 1984.

Cheryl Linn “The Lady” Glass has such an inspirational story and unfortunately a very sad death. Her legacy will not be forgotten which is why I want her name to be known. This is about her life as a racer from quarter-midgets to sprint cars, a businesswoman, and a true trailblazer of her time.
